Made In Maryland
Written By Julian Seawright
Everyone along their journey in life at one point in time had a dream. The dream of being a superstar athlete, or maybe an actor, rapper or even a writer- dreams that occur when you are in the early stages of life. Where you find yourself against all odds, doing whatever you can to achieve your dream and prove all the doubters and non-believers wrong. Brecreation, a kid from Montgomery County, Maryland, is one of those dreamers. With the aid and support of his manager and childhood friend Ben Brown, against the odds; they’re all in on making the world recognize his name in the music industry.
“My names King Kong ‘bout to throw up some dongs, It’s been long since my movies been on that’s wrong. I need to be on the big screen, Dress up like me when it’s Halloween, that’s a scene. All the gorillas bowing down, I am a straight up G – you’re a clown, that’s the word in town. King Kong is my name, eating bananas is my game you should see my chain.” – Brecreation’s first rap in 6th grade.
A 6th-grade boy once wrote these lyrics just for kicks- the thought of this being a career for him hadn’t manifested into a reality for him yet. We then fast forward to over a decade later, along comes Brecreation. A talented young artist out of Montgomery County, Maryland who is not only making some noise in the DMV but is doing everything he can to leave his own staple in the rap game. Going for a more lyrical and versatile approach, Brecreation has proved after releasing self-produced singles combining a rapping flow/singing style not only draws the listener in, but also create a vibe in which you can’t help but nod your head and ride with the beat.
His love for hip hop, which for a while he didn’t take very serious, was more of a hobby for Brecreation. Not until he went to college and he had a revelation that he wanted to really get into music and make a career out of it. Linking up with his childhood friend and now manager Ben Brown, they were able to collaborate together and make Brecreation’s music career official. After receiving feedback on his earlier raps that he wrote from Brown, he was able to put out some hit singles such as, “Enough”, “Ignited”, “Better Days”, and “I’ll Be At Home”, which eventually landed him a gig to perform his singles at ‘Made in Maryland’ hosted by University of Maryland Fraternity ATO in College Park, Maryland back in 2018.
Brecreation is not only catching the listener’s ears with his music but is now also catching their eyes with his style. While rocking the latest by Staple Pigeon, you can believe that Brecreation is always staying on top of not only sounding good but looking good Staple Pigeon’s gear during his shows and photo shoots. In the most recent “Made in Maryland” at College Park, Maryland, Brecreation- performed his first hour-long set where he was seen rocking a personalized Staple Pigeon Shirt which had “CP” written on it to represent College Park, this hyped the crowd up tremendously; having them roaring throughout the venue when they saw the design on such a fresh brand of clothing.
With his talent, charisma, and love for hip hop. Brecreation is paving his way towards fame and glory in the music industry. With gaining a lyrical feature from renowned artist King Los, Brecreation is on his way to making something big for himself and we all are here to witness it. Brecreation is the next big thing coming from Maryland, it’s only a matter of time before he achieves his dream, and you wouldn’t want to miss a come up from such a gifted artist.
