Hello, my name is Julian Seawright and I am currently a Graduate from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. I'm originally from Gaithersburg. Maryland. but ventured out to Pennsylvania to study at the University Park campus. As an aspiring reporter, I have put together this site to help promote some of my work. This will include highlights from print, radio and television reports.
I am not only hopeful but eager for what may come with my post-graduation career in this field. Please feel free to browse some of my work from my time as a student. My aspirations are a future in the newsroom including but not limited to being a reporter, host or producer, and hopefully receive an opportunity to report for the Weather.
Hello! I'm Julian
I'm from Gaithersburg, Maryland but have spent my last couple years learning the craft of Broadcast Journalism in Central Pennsylvania. During that time, I also obtained a minor in Political Science. As a freshman starting in the Fall of 2014 I initially was pursuing a career in Meteorology weather forecasting, but as I became a Junior in college, I decided I wanted to be a reporter and still pursue a career reporting the weather for a newsroom.
I have a passion and extreme interest in the weather since I was a child. As I grew up I learned more and more about the weather, from clouds to pressure systems to the way we forecast and gather information on the subject. It is something that I am passionate about and wish to be a Weather reporter for a national or local news station.
I am a recent graduate from the Fall of 2018 and it is my hope that the experience I have partaken in will prepare me for the future I intend to pursue. I have taken multiple courses from newspaper writing to radio reporting, television reporting, sports writing and documentary style journalism to prepare me for a life within the journalism field.
